Vice President of Brand Technology
Brandon Burk serves as vice president of brand technology for SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants. Inspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes more than 8,300 Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and SONIC locations worldwide.
In his role, Burk oversees all technology for the brand and is key in ensuring that SONIC’s business strategy and relevant trends are expressed in its restaurant, guest and enterprise systems. Burk has worked at SONIC in progressive technology leadership roles since 2008. Prior to his current role, Burk served as vice president of architecture and development. In that role he held responsibility for enterprise architecture, infrastructure and development of SONIC’s technology foundation, including Digital Commerce, POPS, CRM, Data and related business technology initiatives.
Prior to joining SONIC, Burk served as an enterprise architect and senior technologist for Hertz where he led software architecture, standardization and optimization across the global technology organization. Before joining Hertz, Burk worked for Mercury Insurance where he helped develop and execute their internet business strategy and ecommerce transformation.
Burk is a Project Management Institute certified Project Management Professional. In addition to the PMP designation he also holds several IT and software industry certifications. Burk completed an Associate of Science degree from Oklahoma City Community College, Okla., and continued studies at Rogers State University. He serves on the Oklahoma State University MIS Curriculum Advisory Panel as well as the First Data Digital Commerce Advisory Council and enjoys spending time in a volunteer ministry.
Burk, his wife, Lana, and their two children, reside in Edmond, Okla.
